Dear Friends,
Tomorrow is Election Day, and I ask you to go out and vote.
I also ask that you use tomorrow as a chance to go one step further and remind those around you to do the same.
For nearly two years, this campaign has asked people all across Massachusetts, people from all backgrounds, to check back in to civic life, to put aside the politics of divisiveness and to choose a new direction. By voting tomorrow and getting those around us to as well, we will demonstrate a renewed energy and commitment to these principles and our democracy.
Over these two years we have faced skeptics and cynics who tested us, who doubted our ability to live up to the high ideals we have laid out. We have labored, methodically at times, to engage people, to ask them to see the stake they have in themselves and their neighbors as well.
We have run a different campaign: our campaign.
But it is not over. Tomorrow our campaign will be measured one final time and in the most important way. I ask every one of you to vote and to ask others to vote. If we perform this last, simple yet essential act, we will be able to come together when the day ends and celebrate what we have accomplished.
Sincerely,
P.S., We are still in need of volunteers for Election Day. Please email eday@devalpatrick.com with your name, phone number, and address, if you can help out. If you can't make it tomorrow, simply forward this email to as many people as possible.
