Escalation with Iran? Ask your Senator to Vote No

UPDATE: On Wednesday, September 26, the Kyl-Lieberman amendment was approved earlier today by the Senate. If passed into law, the amendment would designate Iran's army as a "terrorist group," a very aggressive measure that could push us closer to military conflict with Iran. (You can see how your Senators voted here.)

The good news is that we won some important victories. The sponsors of the amendment were compelled to weaken it substantially, deleting language that would have endorsed the use of military force to confront Iran. Plus, many Senators who voted to escalate conflict against Iran in the past voted with us today.

If you have a moment, please look up how your Senators voted on this amendment here. Then, call them either to thank them for voting "No," or express your disappointment that they voted "Aye." The Congressional switchboard is 202-224-3121.
