The President's Popularity

Six months after Lake Pontchartrain broke through its levees, it's clear that New Orleans isn't the only thing in America that's been underwater.
So are George W. Bush's approval figures.
In an administration marked by chilling numbers, from deficits to demonstrations, the Bush administration this week posted the most jaw-dropping figure of all:
Thirty-four.
According to the latest CBS News polling, only 34 percent of Americans now approve of the job the president is doing, with 59 percent of those surveyed disapproving.
