i was just thinking...
don't be afraid
i'm sorry my child,
everyday has become
a struggle to survive...
for, i never wanted you to be afraid.
i never wanted to see you suffer
or see you feel any pain.
at least, that's what they tell me,
in order to stay sane.

so much you must deal with
almost all alone.
i pray that i have taught you well,
and that you know you are loved.
i hope you know
i will always be there
my thoughts,
my words,
our memories,
all given in preparation
for this life.

don't be afraid my child,
don't be afraid my son,
when you are all alone.
don't be afraid when things
are really hard.
just remember this my child,
all that i have given to you,
is only your's to keep.

don't be afraid
of love
of kindness
of wisdom
for they seem to prove to all,
that we're not alone.

when you are afraid,
remember what i said.
remember who you are.
you are everything,
you are wonderful,
you are brillant,
you are beautiful
and most importantly,
you are my shooting star.
the most
wonderful
being
ever born.
